IPOH, 21 September 2026 — Tourism Perak has stepped up its promotional efforts in Singapore after partnering with Thoha Travel & Tours to host a four-day, three-night (4D3N) “Stay and Explore Perak” heritage and Islamic tourism excursion across Ipoh and Kuala Kangsar.
Held from 18 to 21 September, the tour introduced Singaporean visitors to a curated blend of Muslim-friendly travel, agro-tourism, living history, and traditional craftsmanship.
The delegation’s itinerary featured prominent architectural and historical landmarks, including the Sultan Idris Shah II Mosque, the bustling Gerbang Malam night market, and historic Concubine Lane in Ipoh. In the royal town of Kuala Kangsar, the group visited the iconic Ubudiah Mosque, Istana Iskandariah, Istana Kenangan, and the historic Victoria Bridge, and also visited a KZ Kraf workshop to observe traditional labu sayong (clay pitcher) and batik clay artisans.
A key highlight of the programme was an exclusive religious lecture delivered by prominent Malaysian preacher Dato’ Ustaz Kazim Elias. Visitors also explored the Pome PoP pomegranate agro-farm to sample regional delicacies and buy local agricultural products before returning home.
For Tourism Perak, the “Stay and Explore” initiative remains central to its cross-border marketing strategy, aiming to position Perak’s varied cultural and Islamic tourism offerings directly to travellers across the Causeway.
