IPOH, 1 October 2026 — Tourism Perak is delighted with the official opening of Dusit Princess Ipoh today, marking an exciting milestone for the state’s tourism and hospitality landscape with the arrival of Dusit International’s third branded hotel in Malaysia.
The 268-room property, situated near the city centre, provides an ideal base for visitors seeking to explore Ipoh’s celebrated colonial heritage, rich culinary scene, and the striking karst limestone formations across the Kinta Valley.
The opening ceremony was attended by YB Tuan Loh Sze Yee, Chairman of the Perak Tourism, Industry, Investment and Corridor Development Committee, demonstrating the state government’s active support for high-calibre hospitality ventures that enrich Perak’s tourism ecosystem.
Championing local identity, the hotel has also launched its signature “Discover the Soul of Ipoh” programme. This experiential initiative curates immersive cultural activities for guests, featuring guided heritage trails, Ipoh white coffee and food tastings, excursions to Tambun pomelo orchards, visits to limestone cave temples, and demonstrations of traditional Perak crafts such as labu sayong pottery.
The debut of Dusit Princess Ipoh expands the city’s portfolio of international-standard accommodation, offering visitors greater variety and comfort while reinforcing Perak’s standing as a premier destination of choice ahead of Visit Malaysia 2026.
