IPOH, 1 August 2026 — Tourism Perak Management Berhad featured as a key exhibitor at the ASEAN-China Ministerial Roundtable on Construction and Housing 2026 (ACMROCH 2026) today, leveraging the high-level regional summit to promote the state’s travel sector to international delegates.
The official opening ceremony at the AC Hotel by Marriott in Ipoh was officiated by Nga Kor Ming, Minister of Housing and Local Government. Held from 31 July to 2 August, the three-day roundtable convened ministerial delegations from across ASEAN member states, the People’s Republic of China, and representatives from the ASEAN Secretariat.
Discussions at the summit centred on strategic partnerships in sustainable urban development, quality housing, and building resilient communities.
Taking advantage of the international platform, Tourism Perak mounted an extensive showcase highlighting the state’s cultural heritage, natural attractions, and flagship tourism products. Officials aimed to position Perak as a top destination of choice for business and leisure travellers across the Asia-Pacific region.
State tourism representatives expressed gratitude to visiting delegates and attendees who stopped by the Tourism Perak booth, noting that participation in the summit will help broaden cross-border industry networks and amplify Perak’s visibility on the global stage.
