IPOH, 20 Jun 2026 — Ipoh became a bustling hub for regional tourism over the weekend as AEON Mall Kinta City played host to Pantai Timur Fest 2026, bringing the unique heritage, crafts, and flavours of Malaysia’s East Coast states directly to Perak.

Running from 19 to 21 June, the three-day showcase highlighted the tourism offerings of Kelantan, Terengganu, and Pahang. Visitors were treated to a diverse range of interactive exhibits, traditional craft demonstrations, heritage food promotions, and live cultural performances.

The official launch ceremony was officiated by Tourism Malaysia Director-General, Mohd Amirul Rizal Abdul Rahim, alongside Loh Sze Yee, Chairman of the Perak Tourism, Industry, Investment and Corridor Development Committee, and Suhaimi Abu Hassan Shari, Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Perak.

State officials noted that hosting cross-regional events of this scale strengthens domestic travel promotion and fosters strategic partnerships between states, boosting momentum for the nationwide Visit Malaysia Year 2026 campaign.
