BUKIT MERAH, 2 August 2025 – Bukit Merah Laketown Resort (BMLR), recipient of the Gold Award (Man-Made Tourism) under the Malaysia Tourism Quality Assurance (MyTQA) initiative by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC), has further enhanced visitor experiences with the official opening of ThinkCup Café.
This new attraction underscores BMLR’s commitment to offering high-quality tourism experiences that blend leisure with natural beauty.
ThinkCup Café introduces a unique, nature-inspired concept designed to provide guests with a serene retreat amidst Bukit Merah’s lush greenery.
Situated at the peak of Ripple Hills, 43 metres above sea level, the café offers breathtaking panoramic views of Bukit Merah Lake, creating an ideal setting for relaxation and reflection. This combination of scenic charm and modern hospitality positions the café as a standout feature within the resort.
The official opening ceremony was attended by approximately 30 guests, including senior management of M K Land, BMLR staff, media partners, and special invitees.
Guests were welcomed with a curated menu featuring signature beverages such as the Butterfly Pea Apple Mojito and Caramel Macchiato, complemented by speciality desserts including the Pandan Gula Melaka Cake and Bukit Merah Cheesecake. These items are expected to become highlights of the café’s offering, reflecting both creativity and local flavour.
Beyond food and beverages, ThinkCup Café has been envisioned as a space for inspiration, connection, and community. With its tranquil atmosphere, it encourages visitors to pause from the bustle of city life, spend quality time with family and friends, and immerse themselves in a setting that promotes well-being and togetherness.
By curating experiences that resonate emotionally with visitors, the café strengthens BMLR’s positioning as more than just a leisure destination.
The café’s establishment also reflects the resort’s wider mission of environmental sustainability and tourism excellence. By incorporating eco-conscious elements while highlighting Bukit Merah’s natural landscape, ThinkCup aligns with contemporary tourism trends that emphasise responsible practices.
This direction resonates with MyTQA’s objectives of raising national tourism standards and enhancing Malaysia’s competitiveness in the global market.
ThinkCup Café is now open to the public daily, except Tuesdays, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. With its inspiring concept and picturesque location, it is expected to become a new landmark within Bukit Merah Laketown Resort.
The launch represents yet another milestone for BMLR in delivering distinctive, family-friendly tourism experiences that seamlessly integrate modern hospitality with the enduring beauty of nature.
