IPOH, 2 August 2025 – The 35th edition of MATTA Fair Perak once again reinforced its role as a cornerstone of the state’s tourism calendar, drawing enthusiastic participation from both industry players and the public.
Held at the Ipoh Convention Centre (ICC), the event was officiated by YB Loh Sze Yee, chairman of the Perak State Committee for Tourism, Industry, Investment and Corridor Development, and attended by representatives from MATTA, Tourism Malaysia, Tourism Perak, local authorities, and key tourism partners.
This year’s fair marked a milestone with more than 132 exhibition booths and 40 participating agencies. Exhibitors included leading travel operators, hotels, theme parks, and tourism product providers offering a wide range of holiday packages.
Thousands of visitors attended the two-day event, exploring exclusive travel deals and promotions for both domestic and international destinations. The strong turnout reflected Malaysians’ growing appetite for leisure travel, particularly in anticipation of the upcoming festive and school holiday seasons.
More than a marketplace for discounted packages, MATTA Fair Perak 2025 also served as a hub for industry engagement. The event created valuable networking opportunities where travel agents, hoteliers, and tourism operators discussed strategies, exchanged market insights, and forged new collaborations.
These interactions underscored the fair’s role in strengthening industry partnerships, enhancing Perak’s competitiveness, and supporting the state’s goal of positioning itself as a preferred tourism hub.
Organisers also highlighted the fair’s broader contribution to the tourism ecosystem. Beyond sales, MATTA Fair Perak introduced the public to the diversity of tourism products available, from eco-tourism and cultural heritage to adventure travel and modern attractions.
The participation of small and medium enterprises further underscored the fair’s role in empowering local businesses and ensuring the benefits of tourism are widely shared across the industry.
With its proven ability to generate strong visitor turnout and stimulate commercial activity, MATTA Fair Perak continues to deliver value to both stakeholders and the community.
As the state prepares for Visit Malaysia 2026, the fair is expected to remain a vital catalyst in boosting travel demand, expanding market reach, and promoting Perak’s unique attractions to domestic and international audiences alike.
