Royal Belum International Hornbill Expedition (RBI) 2025

The Royal Belum International Hornbill Expedition returns on 22–24 August 2025, celebrating its 10th year as a signature annual event. Set within the pristine lowland rainforests of Royal Belum State Park, Aman Jaya Forest Reserve, Temengor Forest Reserve, and Temengor Lake, this unique expedition invites participants to explore diverse sites in search of Malaysia’s magnificent hornbills. Nature enthusiasts will have the rare opportunity to observe, record, and promote the sightings of all 10 hornbill species found in the country, including the critically endangered Helmeted Hornbill (Rhinoplax vigil) and the regionally migrating Plain-pouched Hornbill (Rhyticeros subruficollis). Join us in Royal Belum, Perak, as we celebrate a decade of conservation, adventure, and eco-tourism.
