Stalactites, Stalagmites & The Diamond Cavern<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are you prepared to do a bit of climbing and crawling? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Slide through several tight tunnels and you’ll be rewarded by matured stalactites and stalagmites that ‘grow’ to meet one another to form cave pillars. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shine your torchlight through them and see the intricate structures and textures within. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Descend 30 feet down into a small cavern they call the ‘diamond chamber’ where its crystalline walls glitter in the light. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Believe it or not, Gua Kandu has more than 300 chambers and an enthusiastic group of spelunkers with a good guide can discover up to about ten in three hours. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Be mesmerised by these translucent limestones that used to be former Chinese Communist Hideout & WW2 Japanese Army Headquarters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
