Masjid Ubudiah, Kuala Kangsar<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Considered one of Malaysia\u2019s outstanding Islamic architecture, the Ubudiah Mosque is a lovely display of religion and art. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This glorious structure stands next to the Royal Mausoleum along Jalan Istana on Bukit Chandan. The Mosque began construction during the reign of the 28th Sultan of Perak in 1911 as the Sultan\u2019s way of demonstrating gratitude towards God after recovering from illness. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The word \u201cubudiah\u201d means \u201cto yield oneself to the will of Allah\u201d, hence the name chosen by the late Sultan Idris Murshidul Adzam Shah I. Today, the mosque stands proud and now becomes the pride of Perak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
