The Mosque began construction during the reign of the 28th Sultan of Perak in 1911 as the Sultan\u2019s way of demonstrating gratitude towards God after recovering from illness. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The word \u201cubudiah\u201d means \u201cto yield oneself to the will of Allah\u201d, hence the name chosen by the late Sultan Idris Murshidul Adzam Shah I. This special vessel is used during the coronation ceremony of the Sultan of Perak, but is now open to the public on weekends and can be boarded at Jeti Lembah, Kuala Kangsar.
