Perak Food Hunter Short Video Competition

The Perak State’s Youth, Sports, Communications and Multimedia Committee together with the Digital Perak Corporation Holdings’s PiOR.TV have jointly organised a video competition to celebrate the cultural heritage of Perak’s culinary offerings. Using the theme “Perak’s Delights”, the Perak Food Hunter Short Video Competition invites participants to explore their creativity in creating short videos that best promote and represent the Perak delicacy of their choice.

 

As one of the more popular tourist destinations in Malaysia, Perak Darul Ridzuan does not only offer a rich experience in history, tradition and ecotourism, but also a delicious array of culinary experience for any of her visitors. Conveniently located between Kuala Lumpur and Penang, Perak is one of the best destinations for anyone looking for a delectable food trip. 

 

Given Perak’s reputation as one of the leading food destinations in the country, the Perak Food Hunter Short Video Competition offers a unique chance for food lovers to showcase Perak’s best food as seen by their own eyes. From the Rendang Tok traditions that many of us eat and experience during Hari Raya, to Ipoh’s Yong Suan “Nasi Ganja” and Tanjung Malim’s Yik Mun Pau, the cultural heritage of Perak’s food all carry a unique story that has been passed on from one generation to another, waiting to be explored. 

 

In the spirit of celebrating Perak Darul Ridzuan’s food heritage, the state of Perak invites the public to participate in the Perak Food Hunter Short Video Competition to flaunt the state’s best culinary experience it has to offer. The competition offers lucrative prizes worth RM25,000 for lucky winners with the best short videos on Perak’s delicacies.

 

Submissions for the competition is open from 8th January 2021 until 19th February 2021.
